Among our customers that use Intouch there are different needs. Intouch is a very flexible system, and first and foremost it is our customers that find new user areas for Intouch. But some of the use areas that our customers are using Intouch for is:
Human resource departments: Intouch is here used as interface for delivering SMS to employees. This includes everything from information work, meeting notification, to reminders about delivery of hour lists for completed work.
Information departments: Intouch is used to deliver information to different groups within the organization. Communication can be targeted against management teams, departments or all employees. In an information department Intouch will be a rich and important source of short and quick communication to employees.
Market departments: Intouch is used to send desired or requested information to customers about upgrades, changes, invitations and is also used to administer the sales crew. Through Intouch a manager can administer outdoor sales forces and inform them about new product information, and easily send them links of where to websites or other important notifications.
Ordering and customer support function: Intouch is used to receive orders and as a source for customer support. The customer writes a SMS with a keyword, sends it to a designated number and the message is registered in the system. The company registers it and handles it. Several companies use intouch as a way for customers to order through their mobile phones, as a way to request for information or to handle customer support and contact through SMS.
Volunteer organizations and associations: More and more organizations use Intouch to stay in contact with organizational members and create a stronger personal connection between member and organization. Intouch is used as the contact area between the member and the organization, and this creates a stronger personal belonging to the organization. Organizations use intouch to inform about the organizations and their activities, for invitations, reminders or offers. Many also use Intouch to administer employee representative arrangements, or to keep members of the board up to date on current organizational issues.
Athletic clubs: Intouch is by many clubs used to organize their sports. Team leaders have an easy way of administering their teams and send information about changes, meeting times and places. At the same time the club administrations have an easy way of informing their team leaders and coaches.
Interest groups: Many groups use intouch to send information about their area of interest to their members. For these groups the option for premium SMS can be an important aspect. With Intouch they can set up their own SMS services, and for groups with no income or just a members fee, this can be an important extra source of revenue for the organization. We have several interest groups that generate from a few to several thousand Euros (EUR) each month through their SMS services.
Many other groups use Intouch for different purposes, but the possibility to send messages to groups from both the system, but also from the mobile phone through use of keywords is much appreciated. This function gives the possibility to define groups in the system, and then later still be able to reach the group even without access to a computer terminal. This is excellent in situations where a company has gotten a contract and wishes to spread the joyful information fast to their employees or for persons out in the field that reports something of importance for their interest group as they see it with their eyes. The possibility to inform your network through mobility is an important function in Intouch.
